Greatness is simply a habit.

The habit of not giving up.

No question, the message of this video is true – greatness is not something ‘they’ are born with. We all have it. You have it, I have it, everyone has greatness in them. You can see it by all the unbelievable ‘overcame all the odds’ stories out there.

What made that person different? That hero that took those extra actions, those extra efforts -daily probably, to accomplish that one thing… what makes him or her different?

ONE thing – unbreakable will to simply keep going and not give up.

I KNOW it’s hard.

That may be why I’m writing this and you’re reading this today – because I freakin’ KNOW how hard it is to completely overcome our programming and our environment and our circumstances and actually KEEP GOING even when no one understands. When no one is ‘showing up’ but you… That’s when you experience what greatness feels like.

Heck, for a lot of us, most of us! For most of us, we simply don’t know what our greatness is because we’ve been trained to hide it away and not let is shine. Almost every system in existence is designed to make us fit into that system’s mold. Everything from grade school to the military to our jobs to our marriages has rules and limitations that we are supposed to abide by, otherwise we are ‘different’. And yes, by now, you probably are happy and excited to ‘embrace your difference’, but are you?

Now ‘they’ are telling us ‘different is good’ – but is it? Just so long as you’re not too different! That’s the message I see in a lot of places. Reality is we are still ingrained with the human need to ‘belong’ and ‘fit in’.

Couple questions for you:

  1. What scares you?
    • What is inside you, burning, aching, to ‘get out’? What have you hesitated to share with your loved ones that you want to do? What is that thing that if you only could do it as much as 8 days a week, you would be ecstatic?
    • Notice how whatever it is – there is a resistance!! Your ego, your subconscious is trying to stop you… do you know why? Have you learned how to safely and reasonably overcome that reaction?
    • That is what Get It Done 101 teaches: learn more here: LINK
  2. What are you doing today to associate with people that will encourage your greatness?
    • The reason you and I hesitate is because we are naturally inclined to ‘fit in’ and ‘belong to our ‘tribe’. This is a survival reaction we are dealing with.
    • The second most impactful thing we can do to overcome this reaction is to associate with the ‘right’ people or groups of people. That is why we all feel like we’ve found ‘home’ when Dane pops up on the screen. He is one of the most loving and accepting men you will ever  meet. And – he is trying to build his businesses around that model, and hell yeah! We want to be a part of that!
    • (the first thing is learn to ‘think, don’t react’ which is lesson number one in Get It Done 101!)

What does all this mean?

  1. Find your passion, find your greatness
  2. Never stop living into it
  3. Overcome everything that stops you (which – without question, the number one thing you must learn to overcome is….

YOURSELF!
